i have real problems with math. you would think that after all of this time that i would think to study more and harder prior to upcoming quizzes and tests; i prepare and prepare and prepare...and get c's. hate my life.
so i started talking to my dad about my troubles concerning mathematics, and that i can't seem to get a grip, no matter how hard i reach. i got so frustrated at myself and math and everything to do with it because i don't have problems with any other subject. everything's perfectly dandy except that.
but then after a minute of silence, dad says, "you know, renee. there are so many misunderstood people out there. math is the same way. it was meant to be beautiful and fascinating, the way numbers work together and harmonize themselves. people have somehow turned math into a monster."
now that i realize that, i feel so sorry for this branch of study because it doesn't seem to get much slack. i think that i've turned math into a monster in my own mind is because of my surrounding atmosphere, that people say it's hard and i think that it must be. dad's a chemistry buff and understands math, and i want to be like that. to be like that person in your class that just...gets it. you know? it's so irritating that no matter how hard i try, it doesn't work.
i think my attitude towards the poor thing needs to change. i think everyone's perspective just has to change, and that numbers really do work magic.

new post.
i am about to change this blogger skin because it has been the same for over a year, and it's driving me nuts! i like change; change is good.
so i got a wikipedia account because there were anberlin articles so out of date that it was outrageously crazy, and i decided to perhaps fix them myself, which wasn't bad. it's kind of pathetic that i can actually write articles about bands.
so then, i was looking at anberlin's wiki page and was reading it, about their christian orientation and them as a "christian band." is seems kind of stereotypical, you know? the way people put music into genres and say, "this is indie, this is alternative, this is heavy metal..." why can't it just be music, and let us all enjoy what is does for all of us?
especially with "christian rock." some people hear the word and scrunch their noses in distaste. don't you wish people wouldn't give it that name, because it's kind of excluding, if you know what i mean. it sounds like, "oh, you're not a christian, you can't listen to this music." i don't really listen to christian music all that often, in fact. i listen to music performed by christians. idk if you catch my drift...
as people, songwriters write about who they are and who they've influenced. and as christians, their faith is naturally going to come across in their music. it's not necessarily praising Jesus Christ, because, i mean, we have normal lives too. but once again, it comes across. like flyleaf. they aren't trying to write about their Savior, but as believers and writing about who they are, they will sing about it. and relient k. and anberlin. and ivoryline. and hawk nelson.
i love what knate young said about his faith. he said with interviewers that he doesn't mind being called a christian band because he is a christian, that he is a follower of Jesus Christ and doesn't understand why bands get confused with that question. he says he gets the question, "is anberlin a christian band?" and he replies, "yeah, we are -- as humans."

my new trademark.
so we did second step in science today, some psycho thing our school has to give us about "life lessons," i.e. bullying, anger management, etc. hah.
okay, so today's lesson was about anger management, and mrs. c was asking us about what to do to cope with anger. "what about exercising? like running, jumping rope, playing with the dog...?"
i mumble, "cycling,"
and charlotte, who knows about my huge thing for the sport goes, "you would!"
and then luisa looks at me and says, "paha. dream about going in the tour de france?"
so i guess people i think know me better for my cycling antics, and i stand out better with that. it's my new trademark i suppose. screw the poser punk look. haha.

D:
waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
i want to cry.
i finally saw some good pictures of melanie hincapie, and she just rewrites the definition of physical beauty. GOSH! why does she have to be so darn pretty? makes me so mad. or sad. or happy. or makes me totally forget my crush on george and agree that they make the perfect couple. perfect, absolutely perfect.
waaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

youtube comments.
observations.
so i'm an avid youtuber, just as the majority of americans, and i've noticed a few things on the comments below certain youtube videos:
on tokio hotel, taylor swift, britney spears, and 3OH!3 vids, there are heated arguements about "THEY ARE FRICKIN AWESOME!"
"YOU SUCK!"
"SHUT UP YOU FILTHY WHORE, YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING!"
"YOU HAVE NO TASTE IN MUSIC!"
etc.
underneath anberlin vids, especially "(*fin)" and "miserabile visu (ex malo bonum)" there are huge, and i mean HUGE, fights about religion, christianity, etc. it's absolutely psycho.
so there. my rant of the day. xD

grievances.
so. today, you're not going to get much except complaining and whining. that's what i do here. that what everyone does on here.
anyway.
thesis: lance armstrong's abilities are overrated and such a thing as armstrong being a heartthrob has now pushed my joke button. that was mean. but come on! how come he gets all the credit? if anyone is even informed about the cycling world nowadays, it's about how lance armstrong won the tour of california or is now going out with lucille ball's corpse or is reading harry potter and now everyone else should too.
gah. why is that so? there are other cyclists out there who are way better than he is and have achieved many more accomplishments that he has, and they don't get nearly enough credit or attention as armstrong. like alberto cantador! he won the giro d'italia, the tour de france, and that spanish race. psh. armstrong never even competed in the giro!
and george hincapie. he was the only cyclist who served under armstrong's thumb for all of his tour de france wins. i find it very unfair how he gets no credit, just maybe a sentence or two in the article, "ARMSTRONG DOES IT AGAIN!"
if he comes on here and sees what i've put, he's going to screw me over. but geez, you're really not all that, kk?

ZOMGGEORGEHINCAPIEDROOL.
the title says zomg george hincapie drool if you're incompetent of translating it. xD
but anyway, i just wanted to find a way to tell the public without telling people personally, you know?, about my newfound cycling obsession. thanks to the book we were assigned in french by madame, titled the race, i now find extreme interest in professional road racing.
the book, about a young domestique named ben barnes during the tenth stage of the tour de france, tells about his travels in the cycling world and how his life is affecting it and how cycling is affecting his life. it is extremely good, and i couldn't put it down. i highly recommend it.
but, because of that, i have found this high interest about learning about street racing and its disciplines and the famous road racers and international road races and all sorts of equipment and lingo and...oh my gosh, there's so much to it!
it's amazing how large this sport is, but what is unfortunate is that there is not even a hint of youth speed racing in my hometown! how awful. :(
and i have acquired a gihugent crush on george hincapie, even though he is like thirty. xD
