My Life and Times as Part of the FCA

...
don't laugh at my title.

So today was the first day I have ever gone to FCA (don't go wha? go google!), since before, I didn't have anybody to go with, and this time, I was able to go with Amanda, who was graciously able to accompany me to school at 8:15 to do...something. We had no idea what they were going to do. I mean, they could have tried to play basketball in the cafeteria...

But they didn't. :D
We arrived and they served us Chich-fil-A chicken biscuits (OMGYUMMMMMMM) and then sat down to eat. There were only like 6 8th graders compared to the rest of the crew, like 50 other people in 7th and 6th grade.

We played some strange screaming game, then sat down. There was a really nice pastor guy, who was very young and cool, who read us some scripture and talked about focusing on the future and not dwelling on the past (amen). I had never heard the Word in school before, and to me, that just made me feel like we are one. That we Christians are congregated because of that one thing in common. Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

While we were praying, I thanked the Lord that we finally have this organization to be able to worship Him in the place where we spend most of our lives. There was an opportunity for those who haven't accepted Him yet to do so, and when we were leaving for homeroom, I saw a handful next to the pastor, getting the fill-in on baptism. I was so happy.

I plan to go again, whenever the next meeting is. Being surrounded by Christians made me feel secure and just...safe.

I could...like, feel a special web of safety, that we were surrounded by God.
