this girl is too pretty to grace our presence. http://lookbook.nu/user/12203-Zanita-W
i apologize for my lack of updates, which probably could cause no one to read this anymore.

i just don't have much time anymore, but right now, i have a little half-hour block to myself to eat lunch before volunteering at the high school. (we're having a marching showcase today. :D)

i think today is one of those days where it's just perfect. the sky is
perfectly blue, the temperature is just right. the marching showcase is today and it will be fun to introduce marching band to family friends who have never seen one before. great lunch too. my mom's an excellent cook: ham, mint, and basil olive oil sandwiches; classic coca-cola; spinach and bell pepper salad. i want to cook just like my mom when i grow up.

what a perfect day.

btw, a friend said she saw a porta-pottie labeled 'pot of gold.' HAHA.

i've been handwriting in my real paper-and-pen journal for the past couple of weeks due to the it calling to me from its beautiful loneliness and being conveniently situated beside my bedside.
this is the beginning of a new beginning.
the only constant thing is change.
i'm afraid i've give into the feared condition known as "teenager." i'm finding more things that are true to me than ever before, which may be part of whole "high school" thing. i have a hunch it may be a good thing.

this song is unbelievably catchy. jesse mccartney used to be such a heartthrob of mine. still pretty cute, haha.

out of a recent interest in djing, i've been looking into "underground" party music, if that made any sense whatsoever. this song makes me want to dance beyond belief; i found myself humming it in school.

the first game of the season was last night; the stadium was totally packed with cheering fans, one side white and the other black. i marched my first ever show, which turned out to be slightly saggy because i was so nervous, but lassiter did win 14-7. :D

warning: personal opinions and viewpoints. &&
as i sit here in the living room with the laptop on my legs, furiously trying to get my summer reading homework complete, i can't help but overhear my mom and dad discussing the economical situation that's plaguing the
planet that we walk on. and it's starting to make me want to double over and cry.

because there are people whom i know and love and share street with that are struggling to keep the very house they live in. and for all i know, this is absolutely nothing compared to less fortunate areas of our country, even the world. vicious cycle, die. you've murdered us nearly a century ago, don't do this again.

this is only the beginning of what i expect to become something very psycho. because this kind of stuff creates anger, and anger creates war. remember the great depression? what followed right after, hm?

i hope those who are struggling are still able to remember how blessed they are no matter how much has been taken away from them. remember that you still have a lot. please.

more awesomeer-ific names to add to the collection:
-monty mcpherson
-and the last name of 'DeBenedictis'

one thing that never ceases to make me so happy and full of air is when married couples express their love for each other, because for those who don't think they will ever find true love, you can just look right outside your window. it's everywhere. :]

click for myspace. ^^
how much more lala can you get when their ep is titled "summertime!" with an exclamation point?

they sing songs like "let's go surfing". this is post-war optimism, 21-century beach boys. happyland, fairground conies and young love. sunshine and saltwater. :DDD another great floridian band.

//not to mention parker will probably like them. hahahaha.

click for myspace. ^^
just another band on the usual summer quest to "find-as-many-rock-bands-as-possible-in-3-months." so far, i have been failing compared to my score of last year, but i will catch up, mark my words. they're easy to listen to. :)

"where is your backbone?"
i would like to salute there for tomorrow's debut album, a little faster, because i have completely yielded to its power this week. i currently happen to be listening to 'backbone', hence the above; my favorites are 'wish you away' and 'just in time'.

//what do you do when you find a couple about your young, 14 age, necking on the subway? comments appreciated.

"hope this is your imagination!"

okay, so this isn't the authentic michael, but i thought it was an authentic laugh out loud. i know he was a kind of weirdo, but dude, he was honestly a legend in his time. farewell.

walkuere
gosh, this movie was epic. in terms of scale and the presentation itself. i watched it last night and couldn't help watching it again this morning as well. to think what it must have been like for the actors to don that wretched uniform. bill nighy, the old guy in the glasses, playing general friedrich olbricht, said it took him a couple days to accept the costume. it was so convincing, amazing. "long live sacred germany."
a curious case
this movie was so beautiful. i thought some of it could have been done a little better, but the dark, beautiful, mysterious aura of the film was quite enchanting. it's kind of a sad thing how it lost nearly all of its oscar nominations to slumdog millionaire, but i believe it deserved every single one of those nominations. strangely, i had never seen brad pitt in a movie before this. he's a good actor.

i have a lot to blog about. was it mrs. worthington who said summarizing would be important?
wow, i learned something else from her besides punching holes in papers w/ pencils.

LIMITED PICTURES, ON ACCOUNT OF LAZINESS AND MOST OF THEM ARE IN MY UNCLE'S CAMERA. :)

so i spent the last week in the peoples' republic of china, picking heaping bags of lychees and buying fake chanel purses. xD
a lot of things happened, and i could say it all, but i'm not up for novel-long post
s (it's summer, of course, hahaha.) so, i think i'll just say one thing each day.

last friday, on arrival, we got to catch fish. most restaurants in china, or atleast where we were, keep the seafood very fresh by keeping them alive in little pools in little huts beside the restaurant. my uncle caught the one we were going to eat, squirming, eeeeeeee, lemme go kinda deal, and then the cook headed off to the kitchen with it to chop its head off. thennnnnnnnn, (xD), we got to net some. they're just klunky like catfish or something, but they're so fast.

last saturday, we met my uncle stanley's new dogs: beef, big b, and small b. i think, they, as themselves, have let me decided that dogs are one of my favorite animals, not as fluffy cute pets, but as loyal companions. we brought beef along to pick lychees in my uncle gary's lychee field, rachel and i climbing like monkeys up the trees, picking, mostly eating. lychee monster. end of the day, headed to shenzhen, which is south of the town we were in before.

sunday, the shopping in shenzhen is NUTS. there are little sh
ops in the malls tucked away that sell real designer stuff. i got a vivienne westwood bag for about USD $12 and other stuff...

monday, we went to window of the world. ohmygoodness.
.
all of the sculptures were miniature versions, all of them famous structures from around the world, like the l'arc de triomphe, the sphinx, st. mark's square in venice. there were belly dancers too, which was probably the most awkward thing in my life. XD

next day, spent the day at a mall where there are five levels, like 120 shops/level, all selling fake designer stuff. most shops' stuff were terrible, but super cheap, and there was this one store that was pretty good. grade A fake chanel, look just like the real thi
ng, can't tell. when i went to bed that night, overwhelming guilt washed over me, because having a copy, trying to copy beautiful mind's own creation, never makes me want to see the darned thing ever again. i don't even want to look at all that stupid stuff anymore. ralph lauren seems to be just fine, for now. i think i'll recover, but whenever i see all those gucci, miu miu, louis vuitton stores, i want to look the other way and cry. :|||

then, went north to canton province, and arrived at the most beautiful hotel i have ever been to in my life.

it's a resort hotel, so families were there, with a gym, huge pool, spa...buffet. xD
next day, we went to a safari park, i have to get off the computer soon, there were koalas and stinky elephants, okay, i'm getting off, hold onto your pants.

my mother think rob pattinson is gross and ugly.
i love my mother.

Thursday, June 11, 2009

psh. i just realized the post below reads awful.
read this one instead. x)

today...//
this being my mother's mother's birthday today; she celebrates 87 summers.

yesterday...//
parker + i watched the same game.
romantic rain day. spent the day with my uncle rocky @ admiralty and causeway bay. we went to pacific place to look at ralph lauren, bottega veneta, prada, versace, dior, chanel...(!)...looked at the tucked away stores where you can find awesome stuff for awesome prices. we found an amazing calvin klein coat for $40.
day before yesterday...//
went to mong kok, the most densely populated region in the world. there are so many stores. x.x
day before the day before yesterday...//
tsim tsa shui, shopping...you wouldn't believe how cute a guy on the subway was. he probably noted me as 'creeper!' until i got off. xD/Dx
just monday.
there's this little store called i.t. and it's pretty much the best store in the entire world.
sunday.
i saw the movie 'taken' w/ liam neeson, famke janssen, and maggie grace on the flight from tokyo > hk. to think crazy stuff like...kidnapping traveling girls and turning them into prostitutes is mind-shattering and heart-wrenching. the action was gripping, and i thought it was amazing.
day.
auf wiedersehen.
the wind...
feels pretty freaking good. 90 degrees + 85% humidity + sweat and a full stomach. ahh...

//thursday update?
atl >> tokyo, the loooong flight. about 13 hours, come off the plane with mouth agape: asians dress pretty freakin' rad, mhmm mhmm. all japanese are just like this nationality of little, cute asian people! ALL ASIANS DRESS AMAZING. what people consider fashionable in the states is considered typical in hong kong, so it's really quite frustrating to see everyone so stellar. :D even the guys dress cool and in or whatever. they wear so many brand names and dye their hair brown so that if they were in the u.s., they would ignorantly be thought gay. everyone dresses freaking amazing here! it's awesome!

arrived in h.k. on sunday evening and i immediately succumbed to my overwhelming jet lag. i think i only adjusted last night; been collapsing at like 6 o' clock every night when we come home after dinner. er, what the heck.

>> monday we went to the apm mall and there's this store that's like...i died and went to heaven. it's everything. i can't even describe it. mod london + japan + russia + dude. awesome. >> tuesday we went to tsim sha tsui, with some good shopping, but not really my style, but rachel bought some pretty cute stuff. >> wednesday we went to mong kok, the most densely populated region in the world, apparently. dunno why though, but the shopping there was awesome. there are like 100 stores, each with like 5 levels, with like 20 stores on each level. alllllllll my style. >> thursday we went to walked through 3 districts, [i forgot the first one], admiralty, and causeway bay. at i think admiralty, there's the pacific center, i think it's called that, that has the stores. ralph lauren, bottega veneta, prada, versace, marc jacobs...list goes on and on. i took pictures, so i still have to upload them. through admiralty and causeway bay, they have these little stores tucked away in corners where you can find freaking schveet stuff for awesome prices. we got a calvin klein winter coat for $40 and another ck top for $16,

i'm off. hello hong kong.

A LITTLE FASTER
BY THERE FOR TOMORROW
is 21st century post-punk at its best. this is the album i have been waiting for all my life, not lyrics-wise necessarily, but the sound is everything i like combined. it's freaking awesome, dude.

Wednesday, June 3, 2009

21
hours. here >> hong kong.
BANG! "reneeeeeeeeeeeeeeahhh! get up, doctor's appointment at 9:45!"
i'm fiddle fit, according to the doctor, and now have meds for my sweaty pits. chyesss.
//my dog sheds a lot.

>>YESTERDAY. mademoiselle haley brooke revealed her alexander mcqueen inspired dress yesterday afternoon to awed audiences, designed by her and merely modeled by me. dude, the dress was freaking amazing. i'm forcing her to keep it because it's so gorgeous and partially because i want to wear it to the next formal function. teehee. amanda christine has pictures, but will be scanned in later. ;)

>>THIS MORNING.woke up at 8, because for some reason, my body just refuses to let me sleep in. big sigh. frosted flakes + oranges for breakfast, amanda and haley wrapped in blankets come and find me blogging up here, and am now looking at a sketch haley and i planned last night, the "most luxurious bar in the whole wide world." we're architects. XD

//i am so epically tired and aching. but if someone were to tell me there was an extension to band camp right now, i would go. no hesitations. "1, 2, 3, halfway, 5...toe! 1 cross 2, 3..." is still stuck in my head. did i tell you on tuesday night i had a dream about band? weird.

//so yeah. i'm a freshman now.

"what?"
"i learned it at band camp."
alalalatoday-thurslalalala.

HPPY MMRL DY VRYBDY :D

//and then...my teenage antics. yesterday, when me mum was going to get mail at the ups office, a couple who were about 50 and looked unmarried climbed into their BMW and began to back out. i look away. look again. they're making out. O_____________________________O

hey, i'm not going to a lake!
f'real, like 3/10 people from our grade half booked this town and headed towards their lakehouse or are going jetskiing on the lake or in some form or another are spending the early bits of their vacation beside fresh water. whaaaaaaaaaat.
no furbies on the plane?!
i haven't seen this one yet. man, i wish i could be able to hug them until they begged me to let go. speaking of which, i showed benjamin j. (*fin), but i'm not sure if he's heard it yet. he needs to or he'll never experience words of such wisdom.

don't you wish dudes this handsome sang "can't take my eyes off you" to you?
first day of summer. wasn't too eventful, but i went to the library and read the first few pages of gossip girl (incredibly boring, shockingly) and i got the new young bond book, double or die. >>i forgot to give mrs. albertson back her copy of the clique. now i won't ever be able to. >>rookie camp is next week. i can't wait. >>i saw 10 things i hate about you. loved it, wish i had a man like patrick verona. >>went to bed last night feeling like i had been harry potter, convulsing in one of his scar-pain fits. >>one of tickle me pink's members died. i don't know how long ago, but i don't want to look into it. it will make me sad. >>parker young has grown a mexi-stash. i love that man so much; he always makes me laugh out loud. >>summer pulsates with opportunity.

THE EIGHTH GRADE FORMAL. EVERYTHING WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT IF PARKER YOUNG DID THE DJING AND MY SWEATING WASN'T SO PUBESCENT. XD

the boy band pictures. jonathan, on the far right, makes me laugh.

JRNL.
i'm tired, so i don't feel like making this blog post all too spiffeh.
---

today was a real cliché'd bad monday. woke up feeling like a mess, took forever to get ready, still had to make food for french...
etc. banged my head against the locker, i felt very uncomfortable and fat in my clothes, our rocket for science is getting an 89, and then haley goes on to tell me her day was terrible too. oi.
---

it feels like freaking fall/winter here. and it's may. i won't surprised if it starts snowing. the weather has plunged to like 50 degrees and the school hallways smelled like that wintry cinnamon apple stuff that's oriented with cold weater AND there were like, christmas lights on the trees next to t.j. maxx. wtheck?

ANDY AND DIANA ARE NOT PROUD PARENTS OF ELIJAH DAVID! ALIFNAOEWIGNARENG.
ahhh, the miracle of life. praise be to God.

LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL:
tuesday: first day of exams. social studies & science. film festival @ 7...i think.
wednesday: second day of exams. l.a. & math.
thursday: last day of exams. french. 8th grade formal & possibility of sleepover...?
friday: talent show, yearbooks, awards, over. done. fin.
---

why does deciding on a career have to be so stupidly difficult? hate. it's emanating from my pores.
and you know what else makes me hate? when people publicly announce their hate for religion. okay, dude, i really don't like anything but christianity, right, since i happen to be one? but dude, don't go all over and say that you absolutely hate christianity. i don't think that since you are a hindu or muslim that you should die, and certainly would not announce that to the world even if i did regardless. it's not hate as much as it is annoyance.
---

christina aguilera isn't bad. i like her stuff, strangely enough. i remember 'genie in a bottle.' oldie, but goodie.

WARNING: PERSONAL OPINIONS AND VIEWPOINTS.
it's got me thinking. i know this is such a horrible subject, and i don't really like thinking about it, but...it's just...i don't really know. some want to bring about a premature death. it just takes away so much from everything, you know? like you brought half of everyone/everything you inspired with you to the grave and those who have been robbed never fully heal. i dunno if i could understand those who don't have anything and believe their life is a waste, but i could never understand those who belong to something, such as a family, and have people who rely on them be drenched in unbelievable grief because of you and your selfish desire to be dead. man...i feel like a terrible person.

i want to understand what goes through them everyday and why they decided that certain fate. i want to heal them, i want to be able to cry their tears and bear their weight. i want to lift their burdens and i want to wrap them in my arms. i want to reassure them that i could be there for them, even though everything they knew wasn't.

dear mr. gaskarth, i am unbearably sorry too. i wish i could understand. i am so, so sorry.

with all sincere and due respect, renee p.

IT'S STORYTIME, KIDDIES! - ahhh...puberty.
so language is studying the diary of anne frank, so all of the classes are acting out the play by goodrich and hackett. we completed act I today, so tomorrow we shall be continuing onto act II. so, for act II, the actors who had roles in the first act had an opportunity to change their role, if they wanted to and a person who didn't get to act could get their part. well, no one really wanted to change, except when mrs. hartnett called out, "okay...peter. does anyone want to take jacob's spot?" and you can see jacob, who evidently doesn't like acting much, looking like he's praying for someone to take his part. then mrs. h adds, "ooh, peter, you've got a love scene coming on!" and we all kind of chuckle/giggle, but then taylor raises his hand, and then...mass hysterics forge through the entire classroom.

"what?!"
"taylor, you would!"
"ooh-la-la, taylor!"
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA."

---

and i got a spiffy new watch too. it's white and matches well with my cellular telephone. james- bond- looking gadget #2.
+ it's called 'ironman' (uber schveeet) and it's a triathlon watch (which is 1/3 cycling...uber schveeeet).

Monday, May 4, 2009

and now, we pause for a moment of wise words from master renee herself:

CLEAN.i dunno, but i feel so proud of myself for cleaning my bathroom. it's like unnaturally squeaky shiny now and i feel so accomplished.
IDIOT SLEEPOVER.oi...i miss those freaking things so bad. i read on haley's blog about one of them the other day, and i almost cried. i don't think we've had one since last summer. we almost had one last night, but then i couldn't because of something today, but it got cancelled, so i'm completely free. why, oh why...
BA-BOOM.not much to blog about, so...i suppose i shall post the weather forecast for the next three days: thunderstorms.
80'S SYNTH. i like this song, so i though i would share it with you.

BAM-BAM.
thunder pwns again. schveeeet.
++++++++++++

def. of awesome.

so last night at the mall and haley, amanda, daniel, jonathan, and i went to sephora, and there, we found a makeup bit called the 'orgasm collection'. though extremely disgusting, daniel took a picture of it and posted it on facebook. pfshaha.
and then we ate dinner and all five of us shoved into one photobooth to take pictures. ahh, good times.

Friday, May 1, 2009

it's my dog, flint's, birthday. she be 5.
so my best friend has contracted herself a boyfriend. they go on their first date tonight.
how romantic: teenage getaway to the local mall. hehe.
i will probably have to go with them, since her mammi doesn't want her going without someone she has known for quite a while. haley i think is going, and so is daniel.
jonathan-and-amanda! ooh la la! btw, i approve.

starry gaze. swelling. hyperventilation.
okay, so the school sends out these invitations for us to attend the dance with all the information on it, including who's doing the "professional photography" and the entertainment (probably the dj's). i looked up the photographer, and though he's based here, his photography really isn't exceptional.

//QUICK! who's the first person you think of when i say 'photography + anberlin' ? parker young! of course! so, i get this outrageous idea, completely out-of-the-blue, to message him about rates and stuff. and he REPLIES. and i flip. major flip. dude. like...f'real? and i reply, and he replies back...

you have done me over, mrs. carroll.
and possibly just about everyone who takes her course. this is the first time i have ever written a science report. and it's not like a "here, just put down the hypothesis and graph, conclusion, bam." it's like...the real deal. and i have absolutely no idea how it's supposed to look like or what format it's supposed to be in or much of anything else. the grade is quite major...and...i think i have screwed it up. *big sigh*

Monday, April 27, 2009

my softball coach has the most boss vocabulary i have ever heard.
he was giving us a very serious speech about saturday's game, talking about our improvements and comparing them to our previous performances. when talking about running, he used, "you guys just used to meander after the ball..." and everyone started cracking up. i dunno why, i just have never heard anyone use that word in everyday speech, you know?

he once said, "what's with the psychadelic shirt, renee?" to me when i wore a rainbow shirt to a game once. ahahaha.

Sunday, April 26, 2009

sometimes i really do marvel. not like when you gaze up in awe at the biggest roller coaster at six flags, but...marvel. i believe only a select few events in this world could possibly deserve this respect, and one of them is when someone comes to Christ and accepts Him as their personal Lord and Saviour. madison recently proclaimed her faith in Christ. i gave her a hug when she came to church this morning because i was so happy for her. :)

//AUSTRALIA
i don't regret anything. staying up till midnight to finish it so i could barely get up for church this morning, making my dog whine her butt off to go to bed, blah yadda [insert other problems that have relations to this]. because this movie was EPIC WIN. the first bit of the movie was really creative, and i have never seen nicole kidman scream like that before. HAHA. and of course, the ever-so-lovely hugh jackman. hehe. 8D
